Welcome. The Waveform is a newsletter from Red Cup Agency about the podcasts we produce. When we launch a new show or post an episode that stands out, I’ll drop you a note. I’m Lee Schneider, founder and lead producer. Were you forwarded this email? You can subscribe. I’ll write an issue of The Waveform only when there’s news.
Same Same but Tech Season Wraps
This week, we released the Season 2 Wrap-up Episode for Same Same but Tech. It’s been a crazy ride in Season 2, going from shows about the creation of plant-based meat, to creative computers dreaming up paintings, to explaining NFTs and virtual beings, and an examination of Clubhouse. We deep faked our host, Máuhan M Zonoozy, replacing him with a robot for an episode about deepfakes. We also covered startups with Brad Feld, the man who helped define what a startup is.
I have a cameo role at the end of the wrap up episode.
Mission of the Lunar Sparrow
While one show is ending a season, another begins. Yesterday, we completed our talent recording sessions on Mission of the Lunar Sparrow. It’s a two-character audio drama written by me, based on a novel by H. G. Wells.
When I started out in New York I was a cook by day to pay the rent, but at night I wrote, produced, and directed plays. It feels amazing to come back around to those writer-producer-director days, but this time in the podcast format.
Mission of the Lunar Sparrow will be released in July.
Have a good holiday, everyone. As always, thanks for reading The Waveform.
Red Cup Agency. Podcast Production.
Working with teams large and small, I take podcasts from the glimmer of an idea into production and distribution.
You can read freely at The Waveform. I’m not tracking opens, clicks, or forwards. I’m not analyzing your IP address location. It’s just you and me, writing and reading. This is a small part of the vast Web focused on people and dialog, not marketing data collection.
